Solar Clutch Roller Shades

Phifer SheerWeave Fabrics offered in 5 of the most popular series:

Quick-Ship Program - Select fabric colors within each series should ship in 1 to 3 business days with minimal material delays.  (See attached color chart)
Special Order Program – May require longer lead times based on current inventory levels.  All Phifer SheerWeave Fabrics are available.  Orders for fabrics not included in the Quick Ship Program will be accepted based on current inventory levels and unused fabric.  You will be notified by the end of each business day whether we will accept the order.

RollEase R Series Clutch System

  • Roller, clutch & hardware size is determined by the size of the individual shade.  Shades may not match as a group.  You may specify matching hardware for an order or group of shades.  Additional charges to match groups of shades will apply.  Shades with different lengths will result in different roll sizes even when the same size tubes are used.
  • R3, R8 or R16 Clutch sized as needed for the individual shade lifing requirement.  Colors available:  Vanilla, White & Black.
  • Minimum width – 6” net width; Minimum drop – 10”; Maximum width and length vary by fabric. See price charts.
  • Larger clutches and tubes perform better over the long-term heavy use that is normal in a commercial environment.  Upgrade all smaller clutches to R16 clutch with larger tube for $7 per shade.  Unshaded areas in the price grids reflects normal use of R3, R8 & R16 clutches according to convervative guidelines based on the size of each shade. 

Galaxy Clutch System

  • Large shades may require the Heavy Duty Galaxy Clutch System with 2-1/2” roller tube (shown in shaded areas on the price charts). 
  • The price is included in the price of the shades in the shaded areas only.  A surcharge will apply to any shade ordered with the Galaxy Clutch that is not in the shaded areas on the price charts.  Colors available:  White & Black.

Spring Loaded Roller - Available upon request at no charge

  • Not available with fascia or cassette system.
  • Minimum Width - 19.5" OB, 19-3/4" IB
  • Minimum Drop - 10"
  • Maximum Width - 110"  (see rotated fabric requirements on your price lists)
  • Maximum Drop - 120"

Roller Tube – Metal tube in varying sizes (1” to 2.5”) based on individual shade width & length.  Fabric is
attached with tape to roller.  Shades wider than 108” may have minor deflection in center.

Universal brackets (for inside, outside or ceiling mounting) for standard shades are available in white or black. 
All mounting hardware is included.

Fascia – Available with a surcharge. 

  • Extruded aluminum panel that hides the tube.  Standard fascia is 4” tall.  3” fascia is offered when specified (size limitations apply).  Colors available:  anondized aluminum, bronze, white, vanilla and black. 
  • Fabric Wrapped Fascia – fabric can be applied to the 4” fascia to provide a matching, finish look.  This option is not available on the 3” fascia.
  • Fascia color must be specified on order.  Hardware and external hembar (if ordered) will match the fascia color. 
  • Fascia brackets (matching color) include end caps.

Cassette - Available with a surcharge

  • RollEase R120 Cassette:  3-3/4" height x 4" depths with curved face with a fabric insert.
  • See Quick Reference Chart for size restrictions (vary by fabric)
  • Cassette colors available:  Anondized aluminum, bronze, white, vanilla and black.  Color must be specified.
  • Hardware and external hembar (if ordered) matches cassette color.
  • Reverse roll not available with cassette.

Hembar

  • Flat metal hembar sewn into bottom of fabric is standard.
  • External hembar available upon request at no charge with baked enamel finish that matches most commercial window frames:  anondized aluminum, white, vanilla, bronze & black.  Hardware and external hembar will match fascia color unless otherwise specified.
  • Fabric wrapped hembar is available upon reqest at no charge.  Hembar is covered in fabric and attached with a spline system that meets commercial requirements.

Fabric Width

  • Inside mount shades are made for brackets to be mounted inside the window with the top window width equal to the size ordered.
  • No deduction on outside mount.
  • Fabric deductions for all shades vary based on size of shade and clutch from 7/8” to 1-3/8”.  Fabric and tube are made the same size.
